Phoenix James attends the iconic Back to the Future – Volkswagen Golf GTI 35th anniversary event in London.

To celebrate 35 years of the Golf GTI, Volkswagen have fitted an unusual feature to the new Edition 35 of their iconic car.

In 1976, Volkswagen’s engineers worked secretly to create the first edition of the iconic hot hatch.

In 2011, Volkswagen unveiled the latest model in the family: the Golf GTI Edition 35.

As part of the celebrations, one model was fitted with a unique feature as a tribute to the work of those automotive pioneers 35 years before. At an exclusive event in London, a group of specially invited guests had the chance to see it in action…
