Life’s deep
I think to myself as I watch a young Asian girl cry
Tears rolling from her eyes
We never got to speak
Otherwise I could’ve asked her why
It’s almost as if I felt her pain inside
But I am left to wonder why
This young Asian girl cries
I saw her receive no phone call
No news from a passer by
No incident I could see
That I could instantly relate to her life
Possibly a thought brought only to her mind
One I could not see
One that she herself may have experienced at an earlier time
Still I wonder why this young Asian girl cries
In my head I try to guess
The reason for her distress
Could it be the love of a man which once was
But now suddenly left
Could that be the reason?
A love who has simply lost interest
Or highly religious, caring but overbearing parents who protest
For her they want only the best
Nevertheless
She departs with tears still streaming from her eyes
And I am left to wonder still why
This young Asian girl cries.
