A New Way of Thinking by Phoenix James

A New Way of Thinking

It was in the park after dark I witnessed the start of the glory
A new realisation of self, the missing part of the story
A new way of thinking and a new path was before me
A new revelation and a sign sent to restore me
I was held in a trance by an electromagnetic force field
Which prepared me for all that life was about to reveal
Now I see and feel the things other men don’t feel and see
But I guess this is the way that it was supposed to be
Now close to me
The candle light burns bright as I write
It’s quiet, it’s just past midnight
And the only time things have ever felt this right
Me and the night are alike
We bring the sunlight
New days, new ways, new beginnings, new ways of doing things
Doesn’t matter when the bell rings
It’s not over until we sing
A new way of thinking
Minds are linking
This is what it’s about
We’ve got to do this now
We’ve got no choice, time is running out
Somehow we’ve got to find a way out now
Or stay here and die
But no way not I, no way, I’m alive
Look at me, I can fly way up high in the sky
I’ll survive
I was made for this, pressurised
And now with open eyes
I can see us
Like caged birds still singing, calling for something or someone else to free us
But it can’t be
Can’t we see?
We’re already free
‘Cause only really the soul has destiny
To me
It’s a new degree of possibility
It’s a new way to be
It’s a new way of thinking
To stop our ship sinking
Amidst the destruction and disaster
Prevailing, creating a plain sailing for those in the hereafter
Life
And I’ve taken control of my soul so it never dies
As I reside in the presence and company of the wise
I become excellence personified
And no longer shall I have to hide from what’s inside
I realise my pride will only eat me alive
So I rise, rise, rise, rise, with a new way of thinking
And a new way of thought
Only to find my piece of mind
Just can’t be bought
Or sold
Too specially designed, worth more than gold
Now only the physical grows old
As I behold
The spiritual manifestation
From all the revelation I was told
And you know, it was elevation for my soul
Elevation for my soul
Elevation for my soul
Elevation…
For my soul.
